CBD for anxiety with depersonalization/derealization?
I’ve struggled with anxiety for most of my life, but within the past year my anxiety levels have skyrocketed. With this, I’ve started experiencing a lot of depersonalization and derealization, making it difficult at times to feel connected with myself and sure of reality. Avoiding meds for all the obvious reasons. THC has always helped my anxiety, but makes it that much harder to hold onto reality during the more float-y states that have become a part of my anxiety. Has anyone used CBD with these sorts of symptoms? I’ve heard wonderful things about CBD with and without THC for anxiety, hoping for more specific experiences.
I have dpdr too, but it’s mostly gone and has gone away with time.
THC definitely caused it, cause I would smoke high concentrations everyday.
Anyways, I would go with CBD oil that doesn’t have any thc.

I’ve got pretty intense dpdr, and CBD oil doesn’t mess with it at all. I got really panicky the first night I took it, but that was more because my anxiety has caused me to develop some weird apprehension towards drugs.
I don’t feel anything with CBD oil. In all honesty, I’m not even sure if it’s helping anything. I’ve tripled the dose even, and still. Nothing.
This is pretty theoretical, but I feel like DP/DR is a state of mind that can’t necessarily be fixed with drugs/medicine. If it’s an offshoot of anxiety then it may be possible that CBD can help with DP/DR by extension, but for me, I sometimes deal with dissociation without even being anxious. Not something I feel CBD can help with other than not having a panic attack when it hits you.
I’ve had derealization for 5 years now, and I can tell you cbd does help. Although I’m 90% better cbd does help with my derealization, it’s not the cure for all your problems but it sure dam well helps. I’ve had derealization for so long and I know what triggers it and makes it better and I can definitely vouch for cbd. Derealization is definitely a problem with not being conformable being who you are(at least that was the case with me). I’ve worked on myself and excepted the things I cannot change, and I’m grateful for my circumstances because I know that there are many people that have it so much worse than I do and dr or dp doesn’t even compare to it. Anyway I seem to ramble on this subject cause I am passionate about this subject, cbd has helped me so much but you need to be consistent with it and do your research on the cbd product you are buying.
